Top Chef Hostess Padma Tells...

One of the many nice qualities about Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi is that the lady will answer any question and will chat your ear off... and that's why I called her first thing this morning for some coffee tawk!

GOOD MORNING...
Did you just wake up?

NO I HAVE BEEN UP FOR HOURS..
Me too!

LET'S GET INTO IT... WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE DISH SO FAR?
That's a great question because it's so hard to choose! One of the most ingenious things I've had was very simple but it was Sam's fruit salad at the firehouse. Tonight's episode has my favorite quickfire challenge of the whole thing. It's snacks.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR LEAST FAVORITE DISH?
Actually someone makes something at the quickfire that was pretty hideous. Guess who's it was...

OK WHAT ABOUT BEFORE TONIGHT?
Suyai's red-wine soaked flambe fiasco from the first episode. I'm sorry because I liked Suyai so much. Her personality would've added to the show but that becomes irrelevant if the food chops aren't there...

I have been watching TC for awhile and after reading Padma's interview with Andy, it just reinforced what I first felt about Padma after seeing her the first time on the show, she is a genuinely nice person. I really enjoy watching her interact with the chefs and other judges. I always thought that Gail and Tom were nice, too and to me, even Gail looks a little happier. She seem to be smiling more. I enjoy the show so much, I even watch the marathon episodes on Sunday on Bravotv. Some episodes I've seen 3 or four times. Keep up the good work. Now, I can't wait to see who cuts his nose off to spite his face and who wins the title of TOP CHEF.

Padma is the best and I don't think people even know who her husband is. I always liked her for marrying him. And she's as smart as a whip along with being accesible and beautiful.

I think she was getting a little flack for her looks at first, but she's kind.

People realized. Please the first hostess, Katie?

Thank you for putting Padma on. I hope she stays.
