One in One Hundred

It seems that Sir Tim Gunn and I are actually ON the Out 100 list of the 100 gays of 2007. I am not surprised about Tim's inclusion but am flattered about mine. The photo of us was taken in August when I was full of summer cheeses and Domaines Ott.

Last night I went to a very fancy Upper East Side dinner for Valentino and Giancarlo Giammetti. There's a dinner or event in their honor every night for the run of their two week New York City stay. If you get invited to one, go.

With every step they take, so goes taste and luxury, so these events are not to be replicated or missed. The dinner last night was at a home that I will describe as a Fifth Avenue Palace. Let me put it to you this way, I was out of my league. You can take the boy out of St. Louis, but you can't...

I was seated next to a famous shoe designer, who took the opportunity to rag on "Project Runway". The woman to my left is a famous socialite and realtor who does not watch TV. Itsscool. Tonight is a dinner celebrating Taschen's new Valentino retrospective. The book is beautiful and large and spectacular. I believe he is signing copies for a grand at the event. Stocking stuffer! Unfortch I cannot attend because I will be at the OUT 100 party at Cipriani downtown.
