When season two of "Top Design" started, I actually liked Eddie. I was really impressed with his and Andrea's bunker, and I had a feeling that he might go far. But then, as the weeks went on, he got more and more cocky and dismissive of everyone else's designs and opinions. He might think that he's the best because he works for Martha Stewart, but if one steps back and sees that the interior design world does not strictly encompass Martha, one can realize that he, in actuality, is a big fish in a small pond. I'm not sure if he realizes that.
Does he have a good sense of design? Absolutely. He wouldn't be on "Top Design" if he didn't have it. But can he run his own design firm, establish a huge clientele base, and expand his career when he has a "holier than thou" attitude and thinks that he is the only one in the world who knows everything that there is to know about designing a room? I'm not sure that he can. That attitude isn't working for Ace on "Survivor: Gabon," and I don't think it's working for him on the show.
I'm not going to say anything to badmouth Eddie because doing that would accomplish nothing. I wish him the best, but I feel sorry for him.
