It's an evening to go deep with the ladies of OC with another new episode of "Real Housewives". So let me know how that goes...

Yesterday afternoon - just after the sun had set - a buddy of mine called telling me to meet him on the corner of 49th and Fifth Ave to see something amazing. The sight was not Beyonce rehearsing for the Christmas Tree lighting, but rather Mercury, Venus and the Moon all in a triangle. As opposed to Beyonce singing in the Plaza, which happens all the time, this planetary configuration only goes down once every 44 years or something, so I was glad to see it.

I was more glad to see the one and only TINA TURNER, who sold out Madison Square Garden last night. You know what's worth 2 bills? Seeing that 68 year old sing "Proud Mary"...

Tina loves her sequined to-the-knee leggings and has them in several colors. She jammed through her catalogue of radio hits and covers. She made "Help" a ballad, "What's Love Got to Do With It" a sing-along, and "River Deep, Mountain High" a roof-raiser.

It is a big-ass show with massive stages and props and I don't have the fondness for "Thunderdome" that would require that older lady getting in her "Mad Max" wig and dress to sing that not-great song. I mean you can't believe the effort that went into bringing the Thunderdome-vibe to life. Maybe it's me...
