Are you a happy person? Sometimes the happiest people are really the most depressed.
[Laughs] We're very normal actually. Not crazy happy or crazy sad. Sometimes people think we party and dance all the time, but of course we aren't. But if we are, I think we're really good at it. We don't go from hyper to dark in a second. I'm glad though that people think that we are very happy people, because then our music is doing something right.

Do you ever write ballads or sulky love songs?
Our definition of a ballad is probably different than how most people define it. "No, No, No's" is a bit of a ballad for us.

Your music mixes up American hip hop, pop and funk. Was this music very available when growing up in Denmark?
When we were growing up as teenagers in the 90s we didn't have the world wide web to discover new music. The best way to find new music was to go to second-hand record stores and read music magazines. That's how we found out about a lot of new music from America. We didn't really grow up with James Brown or Little Richard on the radio. You really needed to have a passion for it and dig for new music. I think that is why a lot of Americans appreciate it because we present our take on American music and we sort of help them to re-discover it.
