Hey, listen, so maybe he is, maybe he isn’t.
Last night, at the VMAs, Ne-Yo responded to rumors that he might be gay. Apparently someone put a fake press release out saying he was ready to finally come out, now that he was a platinum-selling R&B superstar. (Who we’ve only just now heard of.)
When asked his reaction, he told The Associated Press, ''I laughed harder than I've ever laughed in my life.'' So where did the whole thing start? ''I have no idea. That's what's so funny to me, that somebody really took so much time out of their own personal life to make up this story about me. Like, it's crazy.''
Which brings us back to our original position about all these gay rumors about everyone ever: Maybe they are, maybe they aren’t. It is not sad if they don’t come out, and we'll totally celebrate for them if they do.
The sad part is that it matters at all.
