Anyway, today we’re happy Epperson's new play,My Deah (a pun on Euripedes “Medea”) opened to rave reviews.
The New York Times put their review above-the-fold and said, it’s “a lovably trashy spoof.”
The Associated Press said, My Deah is in the grand tradition of the late Charles Ludlam and his sorely missed Ridiculous Theatrical Company as well as the early romps of Charles Busch. Yet Epperson has his own distinct comic voice -- plus a genuine affection for the South he so clearly loves to tweak.”
