What do you get when you cross Brokeback Mountain with Dreamgirls? A movie musical called Broken Gay Dreams, or a new episode of "My So Called Life".
Funny, right? Okay. Not that funny.
The correct answer is ... a movie version of Naked Boys Singing the infamous Off-Off-Off-Off-Broadway show about, well, naked boys (really men) singing.
According to Reuter’s, the ubiquitous “hit” (damn things has been playing for years, decades even!) will finish shooting a film version this week in LA, and will be released god-knows-when.
Oh, those crazy kids in L.A. They’ll “shoot” anything.
It seems it took nearly forever to get the project under way since the movie includes songs from dozens of different composers, which would also explain why the show is so radically uneven. Funny one moment. Stupid not-funny the next. And then the next minute, sad. They throw in a ballad for good measure!
