“Carrie” is back!
Careful of falling procine platelets because that telekinetic teen, Carrie, is coming back just in time for Christmas! Nope, it’s not a new movie version -- thank God -- it’s a new live comedy!
You read that right. We just found out that New York’s critically acclaimed Theatre Couture is doing their own camp version of the classic Stephen King novel … with King’s blessing!
Yep, the definitive author of all things horrific granted this scrappy little theater troupe of drag queens and queers permission to restage his story.
Adapted by Erik Jackson and directed by Josh Rosenzweig, “Carrie” -- the comedy -- will also include puppetry by the uber-talented Basil Twist.
But wait there’s more! The role of “Carrie” is being played by drag performer Sherry Vine! “Carrie” with puppets and drag queens?! This is definitely a Carrie we won’t want to miss!
