Manly Mike Jones Visit's -Ex-Boyfriend's Church

20070130_jones_220x260.jpgTed Haggard, the closeted pastor whose fall from grace came courtesy a handsome hustler he’d been having a relationship with for 3 years…isn’t back at work.

But Mike Jones, the brave boy who outted Haggard is at work on a book. And one of his first stops was a visit to Haggard’s church. The Denver Post is reporting the amazing adventure that took place Sunday.

Jones was greeted as a bit of a savior by the congregants. It’s all a bit creepy-weird, but whatever floats their boat. All 14, 000 members of that boat!

"I had read a lot about the church, but there's nothing like seeing it for yourself," Jones told The Post. "It wasn't to rub anyone's face in it by any means. I was wanting to get some perspective, to see where they are coming from, what the magnet is."

"A couple of ladies cried when they were touching me," Jones said. "I was thanked for exposing the church, for helping Ted Haggard. A couple of them said they hoped I get God into my life. And they all said 'God bless you,' every one of them."

Luckily, the ladies didn’t cast any spells on Manly Mike. He came away still skeptical.
