Someday, we promise, there will be a new way to describe hip, urban, cool TV programs about single folk falling in and out of love. “Sex & The City” is just the last cool thing we have to compare anything to, so that’s what we think “Hollyoaks: In the City” a British nighttime soap on BBC America, reminds us of.
But with accents. And real gay men…not just women acting like gay men.
The other thing we think is cool about this: It reminds of the British version of “Queer as Folk” and you know what they did to that in America? So get thee to BBC America and see the real thing before Hollywood kills it.
Why can’t the gays get the same treatment on American TV?
