Melissa Etheridge: Oscar Winner

Last year, when OUTzoneTV.com held it’s Sexiest Gay Celeb contest, Ms. Etheridge didn’t win. (Boo!) But this morning she is probably not crying in her Earl Grey tea. The singer, rocker, icon, and superstar is the proud owner of a new gold Academy Award. She won the statuette last night for Best Song, “I Need to Wake Up,” written for Al Gore’s documentary An Inconvenient Truth.
Etheridge admitted to being a little nervous last night. She added that trying to avoid eye contact with her audience wouldn't help either.
''Then you go, 'I'll just look at the camera,' and there's a billion people out there. It's a little crazy.''
No one at home could tell. Ms Etheridge looked cool, calm and confident. Bless her!
