We still know the words to Careless Whispers here at OutZone, which puts us squarely in the corner of ex-Wham front man George Michael. For that reason we are offering our services: George we would like to be your personal chauffer, from now until … well probably eternity.
Michael was arrested in the early hours of Oct. 2 last year after police responded to complaints that a car was blocking an intersection in North London. Police said he was found slumped over the wheel of the car. This was preceded by an earlier incident in May when Michael was found slumped over the wheel of his Range Rover and photographed dozing off at traffic lights in London.
George Michael admitted to his guilt today in London on the charge of driving while unfit through drugs.
The 43-year-old singer was unaware at the time of his arrest that he had an option to accept a punishment without admitting guilt and dispose of the matter without going to court.
''I am perfectly aware that I did something very wrong and got into my car when I was unfit to drive,'' Michael told the court. ''I was not in my normal physical state and I'm perfectly prepared to accept the correct punishment for that and I would have accepted it a long time ago.''
We still consider George’s “normal physical state” to be within the confines of a pair of painted on jeans but we’re nonetheless concerned about the poor boy's erratic behavior. Doesn’t Elton John have a limo service that he can loan out? We only want George guilty about his feet from now on.
