Prince Snubs Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson used to be cool, right? When was that again? We want to say the 80’s but then even Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop had the foresight to laugh at those 2 guys wearing zipper happy “Beat It” jackets and that was 1984. We think he was pretty fly back when he had the afro and wore a tuxedo with his sleeves rolled up but that’s really going back some … not to say he didn’t make great songs.

Prince however is still very much cool. We have absolutely no use for The Super Bowl but we actually flipped it on this year just to see his purpleness completely mess up our minds with a rock star guitar solo in the middle of a rainstorm … wearing high heels no less.

So it makes sense to us when, according to The Post Chronicle, he reportedly snubbed MJ’s offer of a joint tour. Jacko is said to have practically begged Prince to perform a string of concerts with him to help reignite what has effectively become a dead music career.

Prince -- being Prince -- said he had no interest, with his own plans already in the works for a tour later in the year.

Michael is said to have been complaining about the snub to partygoers at a 25th birthday part for the son of the Sultan of Brunei. A source claims, “Michael seemed pretty upset about it. He said he’d approached Prince to see if he would like to work together, but Prince wasn’t interested.”
