The Simpsons Gay Trivia

20070731_simpson_260x220.jpgTo celebrate the release of the new The Simpsons movie that debuted last week we invite you to join in on some gay trivia about the show. Gay.com has an excellent trivia based game surrounding the mythos of “The Simpsons.”

It’s hard not to be familiar with “Simpsons” lore after all these many years, what with episodes airing in the afternoon, evening, and late night nearly every day of the week. And Springfield has always been a gay friendly kind of place: of course there’s Mr. Burns closeted sidekick Smither and all those guest appearances by gay entertainers like Harvey Fierstein and John Waters.

And Lisa Simpson has to be the most “not out” lesbian cartoon character since Peppermint Patty,

This “Simpsons” talk got us thinking about our favorite character from the show. After much debate it came down to Comic Book Guy and Police Chief Wiggum, with Comic Book Guy taking the crown. Now tell us what you think? Who is your fave “Simpsons” character?
