Long Live Leisha

leishaweirdsmile.jpgBack in July, we mentioned news of a possible L Word spinoff created by Ilene Chaiken, we just didn't know which lesbian would be the chosen one. Well news has come that it's Leisha Hailey aka Alice that is to be the star of the new test pilot.

It's not really surprising. And it's somewhat relieving. How far could they get with Shane's underdeveloped sex-starved character or Bette and Tina's boorish marriage? The only other person conceivable would be a show about Dana... where she's a ghost.

The question is, what will happen in this new alternate LA lesbian reality? We're hoping Alice becomes a private detective ala Sam Spade or Veronica Mars and gets into lots of trouble. That would be cool.
