Presidential Galactica

Probably this has been overblogged, but we couldn't help putting up a tiny piece on it. Journalists and bloggers have taken up the strange similarities between the McCain/Palin ticket and the fictional Roslin/Tigh duo from Battlestar Galactica. io9 traces the lifespan (already so burned out in their opinion) of this news phenomenon.
Is it too obvious to point out that while Tight might rightly be considered a conservative, Roslin is anything but? Even in her worst moments, she's compassionate and what a female leader should be - concerned with women's rights and human rights more generally. Also the fictional version is better looking. But maybe that's just us.
Oh and speaking of Battlestar Galactica, there are rumors that the long-awaited second half of the season might not start till April! The horror.
