OUTzone got a quick peek at Fashion Week with Tim Gunn as he was dashing off to see one of the very first shows of the season. He's tall and handsome and has perfect skin, so we tried our best not to flirt too much while he answered our questions.
Oh wise sage, how is this attention treating you?
I'm having the best time of my whole life. I'm loving every second of it, because I've realized it can go away as abruptly as it arrived. And it will!
Being bravo's gay little brother, we at OUTzone definitely look at things from a very gay perspective -- why is fashion in particular a gay man's medium?
I mean, I hate to say this. Actually, I don't hate to say it, I'll say it proudly, I think most things associated with quality, taste, style and design are the territory of gay men.
Has there ever been a contestant that you absolutely hated?
(Long pause.) Yes.
Would you like to say who?
Yes. (Another long pause.)
Has there ever been a contestant that you thought, "I want to be friends with this person for the rest of my life."
Oh, lots of them. You know, I have to be honest -- most of them.
DBlock: "Yeah, he scares most of us in Seattle too. Do you want him? You can have him."

Tim: "Wow... those pictures are so sentimental and heartwarming. It still hasn't hit me yet that tonight is the Bravo finale..."

Fabulous interview, guys. We LOVE Tim Gunn.
He's our ultimate hero, our Superman. If they made Tim Gunn Underoos, we'd have a drawerful.

Tim is fantastic, if I don't get my weekly dose of Mr. Gunn I go into withdrawl... its not pretty or stylish at all. Tim's blog on Bravo is the best post show commentary I can imagine. Tim, thank you so much!

As a graduate of the old Parsons (Int. Des.'53) I watch every episode with great anticipation. I especially enjoy the elegance that you bring to the show. You remind me of those elegant mentors of our time: Van Day Truex, Stanley Barrows (The Tastemaker') Pierre Bedard, Henry J. MacMillen, Jim Woodruff and Harold Guy. I hope the show goes on and on with you as host.
There is only one thing that bothers me. Does Heidi have to enjoy "aufing" people as much as she appears to? My sympathy goes to all the talented and sensitive people who don't make it, but still contribute, and probably will despite their dismissalfrom the show. I still can't understand why Austen Scarlett didn't win. That corn cob dress was more than memorable.

Up until all things of taste and design being gay man's territory, I loved TG. That's just a predjuiced remark. How poor of taste is that?
