laurasblog_laura_320x240.jpg "We’re all wondering about how you’re doing, first of all. Are you holding up well?

Oh yeah, I am. I mean look, the whole thing is much huger than I ever expected, but I’m holding up just fine and it’s all very exciting and it’s all very good. You know it’s a lot like having a baby -- when you’re in the middle of it, it’s really difficult, but once it’s all over, you think: “Wow that was great, I’m really glad I did that.” In the heat of things you go, can I just quit now? That’s been my analogy for the whole Project Runway experience.

That’s a good way to look at it. We’ll save all the really gripping and terrifying questions for after the finale. But for now, here are some things our readers have written in wanting to know. What kind of sewing machine are you using?

I’m using an old Viking sewing machine that I’ve had for many, many years, and Viking was recently kind enough to give me a new Viking machine.

Have you seen anything from the website about the baby naming?

Of course I have. I don’t know what’s exactly in the forefront, but people do seem to like Gunner. And Parsons, but I don’t know if I can do that one. And someone said, “Well it’s good, she has a Pierson and a Larson, how about a Parson?” So who knows? But yes I follow the internet, I think it’s great. I love the way that there’s this forum now to read the public opinion.

Laura is amazing. I can only aspire in my dreams to be so elegant and down to earth at the same time. She's perfectly real.
