And you can go there and eat the hot dogs and the meatballs. But you’re only allowed to leave your kids in that ballroom for about fifteen minutes. Which doesn’t cut it. And you know, they’ll be calling me. “Ms. Bennet, would you please come get your kids out of the ballroom?”
So the next time we speak, it’ll be after the finale.
Oh good, we can talk about that?
We’ll have to. And we want to hear more about your husband, but we’re pushing a deadline, so here’s one last question. You’ve said that you were always shown giving unsolicited advice. Would you ever consider an advice column?
I’d be apprehensive to put my ideas into anyone else’s head. My husband one time told a friend of mine, "Don’t marry her." And of course the guy did – and that’s, of course, the end of that friendship. And then the opposite, there was a girl who was in love with this guy in Texas. And he said, “Go, follow your heart, move, sell everything. Move to Texas!” And of course it didn’t work out for the poor girl, and there she was in Texas. But you know what I’m interested in? I would love to tell people what I would do in any given situation. You are welcome to have your readers write in situations and I’ll tell them, “What would Laura do?”
