Now THAT’S why I love Ellen! If you missed the Oscars last night, that's a shame because it was one of the best award shows I’ve seen in a long time, and that’s saying a lot (anyone see this years Golden Globes… zzzzz).
Besides a fantastic show, I thought that the fashion paraded across the stage, for the most part, did not disappoint. There were some show stoppers for sure – some dashing men and stunning women did their very best to keep every hair in place, every hemline clear and every breast from falling out … save for Jennifer Hudson’s near-nipple scare while performing onstage with Ms. Dereon herself.
So after much debate with my friends sitting next to me in the living room, I’ve narrowed down my top choices for the Best and Worst Dressed Celebrities at this years Oscar’s. Now, I have yet to see if the choices of the so-called “Fashion Police” on E! will differ from my oh-so-humble selections; I guess I’ll have to see if frosted tips, caked on foundation and a boot-cut tuxedo that knows how to twiddle a squiggly pen thinks the same thing as me … please lord, let it not be so.

Reese Witherspoon – Yet again this woman knows how to work a look. From the tip of her extensions to the bottom of that hourglass, tiered-gown she looks every inch a movie star. From that gorgeous violet to the soft shape of her Nina Ricci gown, Reese certainly knows what looks great on her body – or at least her stylist does and should probably be getting paid overtime for making her look this good.

Daniel,
Please, those E Fashion Queens and their whole dread carpet team (could Seacrest's nose get any browner) have got to go. As they say: “Those that can design and those that can’t flap their lips on E.”

I have to say that for the first time in years I have to disagree with you, Dan. I think I would swap Emily Blunt with Kristen Dunst, and Rachel Weisz with Gwyneth Paltrow. I think Emliy's look far too simple for Oscar. She wore a much better dress in the Baftas. And I love Kristen's so much! It's a classic haute couture piece. And Rachel's bodice is OK, but the bottom part just doesn't fit her, though I couldn't imagine having darts in that skirt. As for Gwineth's, the dress wouldn't work for most people, but it worked for her.

Smart enough comments but I have a few disagreements: I liked Gwyneth Paltrow, Kirsten Dunst, and why isn't Penelope Cruz on this list? She had the best outfit of the night! Also, I did not care for Nicole Kidman, Emily Blunt, Rachel Weisz, or Portia De Rossi. Close enough, though.

It's nice to hear opinions from a real designer opposed to the people on E!
And I strongly agree with your opinion with Abigail Breslin :]
