Hello kiddies!

So I can tell from your frothing mouths and glossed-over eyes that you’re still recovering from your Project Runway fix… I know, a year is a long time to go without something you love (I tried giving up coffee last year in hopes that it would make me feel less sluggish… well… after I ended up throwing my blackberry at my intern’s head…I… well, it got messy… I never knew men could have PMS).
So let’s just get into it shall we, oh, and for the record this is my opinion and you have yours, and like mother’s and they’re incorrigible sons I ask you to politely state yours but in the end it’s my way because I said so. (Damn it I hated when my mother used to say that!)
GAME ON!

Jillian
I have to say that I really liked Jillian’s punchy cocktail number, I think the color choice, shape, fit and silhouette are both young and modern, but still stand out in the “designer” category. Based on what I saw in the first episode, Jillian seems like a woman who designs for herself – a tight little body, fair skin and dark hair – crap even her model looks a bit like her! All joking aside I think she has some real talent and may be a sleeper contestant… I’m keeping my eye on her.
Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Santino Rice, Malan Breton, Emmet McCarthy, All of the "Real Housewives" and the always-gorgeous Nina Garcia were on hand for the big Runway show today at Lincoln Center. All 15 of the Season Four contestants each showed what they're capable of, displaying three looks each.
We dispatched our new favorite cub reporter and former "Runway" star Daniel Vosovic to cover the event, and he came back with his observations on each look. Enjoy!

Daniel's Take:
The sweetness of the dress is parlayed against the aggressiveness of the latex tights and rocker-chic styling. A great tip for giving your ho-hum outfits in your own closet a harder edge.

Daniel's Take:
There was once again the clash of sexy and sweet in this look… Take note: school boy blazers are going to be HUGE this fall!
So I know I’m a fashion designer and all, and I should really only be interested in pretty fabrics and waif-like, 6 ft tall giants, but damn it all, I can’t help but shake that I should be doing more! I originally was going to pursue a degree in architecture, and though that obviously changed, I still find such an appreciation in well thought-out design and urban planning. Living in New York, I see new buildings or massive reconstruction happening every few blocks, but I also know that there are some very exciting things happening all over the world that we should be aware of!
After doing a bit of research, I came across some interesting projects that have are all in various stages of completion, and after educating myself a bit more about the increased concern of global warming and the detrimental footprint we continue to leave, I thought it best to share the information with you all. Did you know that while transportation and industry are both sources of extreme gas emissions, buildings are actually responsible for the biggest share of CO2?

The German Reichstag
Visitors walk inside the glass dome of the German Reichstag parliament building in Berlin. The building's energy system is based upon a mix of solar energy, geothermal power, combined heat and power, biofuel generators, and innovative ventilation. Special insulation limits heat loss.
More than 80 percent of electricity needed is generated internally. A geothermal installation cools the building in summer and provides heat in winter. Annual CO2 emissions are thus reduced from 7,000 to less than 1,000 tons.
