If only Clint Eastwood would make a super hot gay movie. We think he's genius. Come on. The guy turn The Bridges of Madison County into a wonderful film. Of course, Meryl Streep helped, but.
So maybe his film, Letters From Iwo Jima, the second half of Clint Eastwood's two-part look at World War II, deserved the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures' pick as the best film of 2006.
Also on the list, announced Wednesday: Flags of Our Fathers, in which Eastwood shows the aftermath of war through the eyes of the military men who raised the American flag during the Battle of Iwo Jima.
Other picks that get our gay-stamp of approval: Little Miss Sunshine and The Queen.
''This is his masterpiece,'' NBR President Annie Schulhof said of Letters From Iwo Jima. ''I was blown away by its delicacy, the poignancy of how he talks about war. I think it's also a searing condemnation of war. It was a unique view of the Japanese side of the battle. We don't always see that.''
Martin Scorsese was the organization's choice for best director for The Departed.

Fag, I mean, Flags of our Fathers is an exceptional film, made by a Liberal who wants to push his agenda on most Americans. However, he nor his folks were even veterans of the war. Funny how he assumes to show WWII in his eyes, when so many of us Americans have had dads, grandpas who say otherwise than his lib-ass story. He just wants to have political swing on WWII and he's really nothin better than a yello-bellied nazi sonofa bitch, but he does look tough in his films (spaghettis, made in Italy), I'll give him that at least.
