Always Be Loved

May 09, 2007

jesse_208_01_320x240.jpgThis was a very special episode for me.

I really loved the tribute to Doug, I thought that it was done so well. Though the passing of a loved one is always a rough time, I rejoice in the situations that we remember all the great qualities of the spirit we lost. Doug was able to share his light with so many people because of this show, and I can't say that it is coincidental he had the opportunity to film the last year of his life ... it gave him an opportunity to truly leave his legacy. He will always be remembered and always be loved.

Everyone got to meet Jasmine in this episode, and I am so happy you did. Jasmine was going through cancer recovery throughout the process of filming this season. I was a little sad that my obligations to the show kept me from getting to see her as much as I wanted to while filming. The producers came to me with a brilliant idea... why not let her tell her story?

Jasmine wanted to be a part of the show to help spread awareness of cancer to young people. When you think of someone who is sick, generally you don't think of a girl like Jasmine. Her being involved in this program allowed two amazing things to happen: 1. It gave me time to be with my best friend when I needed to be there the most and 2. It gave her an opportunity to share her story -- allowing her to not only emphasize the importance of maintaining your health but to open everyone eyes to what cancer can look like.

jesse_208_02_320x240.jpg

It's interesting to me that the two people in my life at the time who were sick were two of the sexiest and healthiest people I knew. Doug, lost his battle unfortunately ... but was able to give a light to so many. Jasmine won her battle and offers a since a hope to those who may be going through something of a similar nature.

FYI- Jasmine in doing great and singing her ass off! What a voice, right?!

SO... I think that SkyLab was a success. My clients, who still train with me today, and I am proud to say have become very close friends, have really shifted their lives. They are healthier, happier ... hotter ... everything good anyone can think of.

I think Jackie has a bright bright future ahead of her with SkyLab. I am so excited for her continued success ... with everything she has going on, you are going to be hearing about her for a long time to come.

I love you Mr. Warner!!!

God Bless you all and thank you for an awesome season!

Jesse, thank god that you are on that show! You're my favorite because you speak exactly what I would say were I there and you ain't afraid to tell it like it is. I agree with you 100% on the whole Rebecca thing. Even before the whole convenient lesbian switch of hers, I could see that she was an attention @$#^!! if you know what I mean. She was always fishing for compliments and you can see it in her eyes that she's always plotting for her own benefit. Ask her if she'd have gotten with Jackie if Jackie were just some average girl and NOT the focus of the show. I know her type perfectly because I unfortunately dated a couple and I'm soo glad to see that you aren't being fooled either. Rock on brotha.

Hi Jesse,

I too love the tribute to Doug! What a sendoff! He would and is so proud of everyone. My comment to you is too stay on Jackie! Rebecca is not good for her. As a TV audience, we don't see everything, I understand that, however, the comments Rebecca made about Tiffini (sp) and her teeth and gums show her maturity level. That was the meanest thing I have ever heard! Jackie is so much more than that. Keep supporting her and being there for her, she is going to need you when Rebecca decides she is ready to move on to bigger and better things. You are a great friend, Jackie is lucky to have you!

God Bless you,

Nikki

Hi Jesse! First off ... I'm a huge fan of the show and I think you and the rest of the cast do a really great job. I'll be waiting to see what happens in season 3.
Last night's tribute to Doug was amazing! Obviously his passing was a huge blow, but the message of his life and what he stood for will live on. Thanks for your candor and sharing a very private moment w/ all of us.

Btw ... Jasmine is a wonderful singer and hopefully her health continues to improve.

Best of Luck!

Jesse - Thanks for having Jasmine on your show. I was a friend of hers years ago in Seattle (Bell/Redmond)and was SHOCKED when I saw her get out of the cab!! I hadn't heard of her battle with cancer and am SO glad to hear that she's doing so well. And the voice -- I was just as proud to hear her sing the National Anthem on your show as I was the first time I heard her wow a crowd at 15! All the best to you and thanks for keeping us posted on Jasmine's continued health and success!! ~ Lori ~

Jesse, I have to say that you are one of my favorite he BITCH in the show. You have alot of boldness in you now I know why you and Jackie are good friends. You know Jess if you show class, and have pride, and also display character if you do Jesse, winning take care of itself I could see that you are a great guy with wonderful feelings and a big heart but sometimes you forget what you have within. Don't worry about Jackie and Rebecca they know what they want just be happy for there moment in time. What counts is not neccessarily the size of the dog in the fight it's the size of the fight in the dog you need to stop your shit with Rebecca and be happy for Jackie, because that is what friends do be happy for one another. But I still think you are so funny and remember the most rewarding things you do in life are often the ones that look like they can not be done so be nice Jesse.

Dear Jesse,

I was moved by Doug's tribute. He seemed like such a warm, loving individual on the show. The connection you have with someone when they go 'on their new journey' will always be there. Remember, you will meet again someday. Until then, the hummingbird will watch over you.

Jasmine's story hit home for me. Our 25 year old daughter, Kim, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer last fall. She, too, had to have her entire thyroid removed. In fact, she went through two surgeries and has been through the radio-active iodine treatment once. She goes through ablazion therapy soon. Her body has been through the ringer since the surgeries. She, too, has no energy, her moods are all over the place and she is exhausted by can't sleep. She's on hormone replacements, but that's still being balanced out.
Apparently, the Gulf Coast is known as Cancer Alley because of the industrial plants. We were told this after her diagnosis. 'Wonderful' information to have at that point.
Please know that Jasmine, you and her family are in my thoughts and prayers. She sang beautifully at the game. I can see your love for each other.
I wish you all the best. The show is one of my favorites. Take care.

I just saw last episode last nite, very sad that its the finale but await for the fall. You and Jasmine have such a beautiful relationship, really warmed my heart and saw alot of healing on your part. May G-d bless you and give you all the strength to keep on doing what you're doing. I think your so on time about Rebecca. I think she is nothing else if not an opportunist. There are many of us out in TV viewer land that see her for what she is. She has also garnered the attention of those in the mental illness community with her off the cuff remark about you being schizophrenic. Take care and enjoy your beard, I have one too! Vicky is her name. I think you will go far in this world and am looking forward to another season of Workout.

Jesse, I think you have grown up alot since the last time you and Doug had a falling out. Doug's passing opened alot eyes and made you guys realize that life is short and to appreciate the people who are around you and cherish every moment you have together.

You became more humble which I was surprised. You a good guy I am not saying your not I mean you have matured and have come along way and I admire that alot.

Jackie has come along way with her successful business ventures and Brian and all the gals and guys on the show are remarkle people. What ever happens keep the peace and faith and remember Doug when you have a falling out.

I was saddened to hear of his passing. He died just 3 days after my 34th birthday. So although I never met him. I will always remember that amazing smile he had.

Hi Jesse! I have been watching since the show started and was thrilled beyond words when Jackie FINALLY pitched Mimi! As I continued to watch the next episodes I have formed the same opinion of Rebecca as you seemed to have. What a train wreck! I pray Jackie wakes up soon! I can see Rebecca "Hecheing" and Jackie being crushed!!! Being a lesbian myself, I can't help but questioning Rebecca's motives and being dismayed at how clueless Jackie seems to be. I really like Jackie unitl all this started and now wonder if she is really as "together" as she would have everyone beleive. She seems to be VERY smart as far as her business sense & common sense goes but it really makes you wonder about her sense of self worth. I can't help hollering at the TV when I watch! It is frustrating to watch! Please just be ready to help Jackie pick up the pieces when this Rebecca thing blows up in her face!

Ahhh Jesse Jesse Jesse... In reference to your Rebecca comment where she's dating Jackie just to get "more air time". Let me fill you in on some lesbian lovin'.

The one being used here is Rebecca. Every lesbian knows never to date a bi woman because they will inevitable leave for a man. If Jackie wanted more than just sex, she would date a lesbian. But hey a girl deserves some fun to ya know! Besides, as cute as rebecca is...she is sooo not in Jackies league! She is too immature, too flighty and those acronyms have to go! It so obvious how badly she gets on Jackie's nerves.

I just got out of the hospital. I just saw the show on Doug.It scared me to death because Doug and I have alot in common. I had to write in to ask you if you can speak on the diffence between, being in shape, being healthy and our immune system. Oddly, enough I was in the hospital for the samething, caught a virus. Lucky for me my kidneys did not shut down, but my blood pressure was like 40/10. I, like Doug was put into a coma. I did get out in 3wks. I have been doing good, this last week. I am also into fitness like Doug, take vitimins eat great, thought I was very healthy, fit. I am convinced that being healthy, working out, eating right has nothing to do with our immune system. Please can you speak more on this. Alot of people think since you are doing things healthy, you are healthy, which is not true. Doug by all logic should have not got so sick and been strong enough to pull through. He was in excellent shape but this was out of his control.
I try to look at what I can get out of my experiences and share. I have no clue why I got so sick, what I am supposed to learn from this but seeing that Doug did not make and I did, makes me feel like I need to talk to people, help people understand your immune system is very important too, not just working out, eating right. Please, if you want me to tell my story I would love too. I have also lost alot of muscle. I would love to know how to get back in shape. How slow should I go or should I just jump right back into it. Please Help!!

If Jackie were in a relationship with a man and you did not approve of their relationship, would you have gone out of your way to ridicule him the way you have Rebecca? If you ask me, the only two people who seem loyal to the show are Andre and Erica. Zen is an aspiring comedic actor. Gregg wants to be a musician and Peeler wants to open his own gym. As for you, I think you want your own show and what better way to get one than to be loud, nasty or mean. There is a huge difference in the way you projected yourself last season to this season. You were the only person who had an issue with Doug. Albeit you apologized, but then again you did apologize to Rebecca, yet you continue to defile her.

It only takes a minute to brighten her day, Be good to her or you will lose her too.
I have to ask you a question though. In the episode when you were training the guy who was a erotic model and he asked you to go for coffee after his workout, when you asked him if you could see his pictures, and he said yes, your face lit up like a christmas tree. Did you think he was going to show you the erotic photos of himself?
I thought so! (heh heh heh)
I cannot see you getting all excited about seeing pictures from the gulf war.

I love the show, but have to say the attack on Rebecca showed your true colors. Then I see a preview of your reunion show during the Doug tribute show and you appear to attack her again. It seems to me a true friend would be supportive no matter who the person in their life is, not jealous. I thought your comment about more screen time showed exactly how you think and could explain why your such "good friends" with Jackie yourself. Worry about yourself and stay out of jackie's business. Like I said, your true colors are showing, better go hide them behind that phony smile.

Hey, life is too short worrying about Jackie dating Rebecca. If it is unbearable for you to watch it, just don't look or comment. Whatever happens, happens. I think if you can have even a speck of the late Doug Blasdell's class act, you will be a business success in your own right. A chef? Don't even think of opening your business right now or you can't get any one to finance you if you act like a "little 8-year old spoiled brat." Schitzo is not the word for you, you are simply someone who does not want to see people happy or find success. Now, that qualifies you to seek some serious psychiatric help. Just create your own persona. Never ride on someone else nor deride people, cause right now, you ain't someone yet.

so this new chick, whose is your best friend now, did you hire her from some whore house to try and make it look like you have friends?
and please don't mention doug's name again, you show no respect for him, he is, was and always will be a better role model, straight or gay.

You are right about Rebecca. She's mean - the way she made fun of Tiffany's gums on national t.v. and then in her blog said she's "sorry" but it's still funny? There are two things that stood out for me during last season. The first and foremost, is that you and Doug reconciled. I know it was a relief for both of you. I can imagine if you had not had that time together. It was very moving to see the two of you talk.

As many have said, Rebecca is a piece of work. She definitely wants the limelight. It was apparent when she was overshadowed by Jackie's other love interest and when Brian ran the club.
You see her nose was pushed in.

For my two cents, Jackie should not date an employee. I watched the reunion show last night and heard her justification. It is one thing for clients to date clients and maybe trainers to date clients but regardless of what business you are in - it is never acceptable for the boss to date an employee. She is wrong, wrong, wrong.

And being gay or headro has nothing to do with it. If you are/were a good friend to Jackie then respect her and keep your nose out of it. You go and appoligize to Rebecca for the way the retreat went and then in the reunion show, you revert right back and become an idiot. Not embarressing Rebecca but yourself. I was embarressed to where I could'nt even watch it.
It's none of your business about others relationships. You would not like others giving you unsolicitated advice, so you should'nt give it out either.

Also, being a gay man..I would say that ok, maybe you needed to "trim" down a bit and being a trainer on top of it but you are still cute and sexy and DAMMit lets see that booty in those tight jeans some more...haaahaaa
