So, another season is officially over. It was interesting to watch the reunion special. A few facts that were left out surfaced ... mainly the fact that perhaps I wasn't totally insane having feelings of discomfort over Jackie and Rebecca dating.
Because the fact of the matter was, Rebecca HAD (and I believe still has) A FRICKIN' BOYFRIEND!
I wasn't allowed to mention that before because it was edited out of the series ... but with that fact in hand, can any of you who threw out arguable comments see my side a little better? Hm.m .. Anyways, for the most part I know I can't win in that situation, so I hang my hat on the topic and am moving on ... Can we all try to do that? Please???
I almost died when they showed clips of us talking behind each others' backs. In the interview setting, when a producer asks you how you feel about a cast member, you tend to speak freely because it feels like no one else is around ... but then, and often this happens too late, you remember that the camera is still there, recording every little thing.. but what can you do?
I love the impressions we all do of each other... GOLDEN.
ABOUT THE FAT THING: You will all be pleased to know that since the first episode aired I dropped ten pounds. I have taken a very healthy approach, modifying my diet and increasing my work outs. I rediscovered yoga, which I practice with a private instructor twice a week. I try to do cardio at least once a day, six times a week, and supplement the rest of my work outs with weight training and boot camp styled classes. I also am addicted to spinning classes ... which I find to be not only great for weight loss, but amazing as a stress reliever.
SO GET OFF MY BACK ALREADY!
I don't know what else I can say about the memory of Doug. He was beautiful in every way and he is very missed. I can't thank you all enough for your words of support and love through this difficult time, and all your prayers and thoughts have helped everyone at Sky, on the crew, and in his life tremendously. He lives in our hearts and always will.
I guess that's just about it ... until next time ... keep your eyes open, because we will be around!
Blessings to all!
xxx, Jesse

Jesse, you're funny and great and I think most sane people realize that reality shows are always edited a way to get a coherent storyline. I guess after Mimi left, they just had to find a different villain, but I think they didn't really do a good job at making it you ;-). The rendition of the water throwing incident you did with Peeler was PRICELESS. :)

Hi Jesse!!
Of course we all agree with you about Rebecca!!! She is totally acting gay or on the fence or whatever she wants to call it by screwing around with Jackie!! Come on!!! I guess her butt crack wasn't getting her enough camera time so she had to hit on the boss which by the way I am a straight married Mother and yes Jackie is hot but you just don't decide to play like your gay because someone is hot!! Good grief I would be jumpin the fence all the time if that were the case!! HA! But then I don't have cameras following me around like Rebecca either.........

Jesse, although there were times that you may have come off in the wrong light due to editing, my gut reaction has ALWAYS been that Rebecca was CONSTANTLY seeking attention like a little puppy. She did want more screen time. I am sure that she cares for Jackie but her playing to the camera was quite heavy handed. It was so blatant and such a bugger that I had to fast forward through tivo whenever she was on. You ROCK, you RULE and you were RIGHT!!!!

Aloha Jessie,
I have to say I love your attitude. I know that at one point you had a disagreement with Doug regarding his comment that you pretty much reminded him of Jack from Wil & Grace. First off I am glad that you 2 put that aside & that you were able to mend the relationship before his passing. Second of all I agreed with Doug 100% because you do remind me alot of how Jack's character is; funny, spontanious, good looking, kinda quarky (in a VERY good way)& fun to watch. Just remember your personality being compared to Jack's is one of the best comments to have on your side. As for the weight, I am glad you got yourself on track, but to me I still thought you looked good so please don't think that everybody is always on your back about that issue because to me it's stupid to put a person down about their weight, and no I am not fat by the way. I originally weigh 105, but because of my medical condition I have right now I am now up to 112. Don't worry, after my surgery I will be able to hit the gym again & get my butt back into shape with my gym partner (my lovable husband). Well, take care & I wish you the best of luck with the things that are going on in your life.

On a related note: We could all learn from Doug's principles (which I thought were so inspirational). A couple other comments: 1.) Loved your candor about being the biggest gossiper on the show 2.) Ignore the hyper-critical nature of the gay male world regarding your weight and follow your friend Jackie's philosophy ("healthy body, healthy mind"). You're a cute and funny guy...I enjoyed watching the show again this year...let's hope there's a season three, so you can grow into Doug's shoes and continue to provide a much needed positive gay male role model. Jesse, I'm not following your logic on the boyfriend issue. Who cares? After all, Jackie was dating around as well so why should it matter if Rebecca was too (unless it is your contention that Rebecca was lying to him about her relationship with Jackie as opposed to letting him know all about it as she stated on the Reunion show). That said, I've never been entirely comfortable with that relationship because of the working relationship they had prior to it. While Jackie can state all she wants that the gym is a much more relaxed environment, when a "boss" dates an "employee", it's the potential power issue you need worry about and has zero to do with how relaxed the environment is. That's a fact. Always has been which is why sexual harrassment laws were put on the books to begin with.
Finally, about the weight thing. People want their Trainers to be buff. We expect you to "do your job" so to speak. But, hey, who of us are absolutely perfect at our own, eh? Truth of the matter is, weight is something lots of us struggle with as is the pursuit of perfection in our own little worlds. Take care and congrats on the weight loss.

I don't know if Jackie thought through all the possible repercussions if something goes wrong down the line. Does anyone else smell a Sexual Harrassment suit in the the future? Don't let any of this get you down. Looking forward to seeing you next season. Have a great summer!

Jesse,
First I have to say your are a freakin cutie! Heres the thing though, YOUR jealousy over the Rebecca and Jackie relationship brings out the ugly in you! If you are a true friend to Jackie as you have claimed to be.......then you would step aside, respect Jackie and your friendship with her, and let the two of them decide how and what they want from one another. Do you have to like the situation NO, do you have to agree wit the situation NO, do you have to be best friends to Rebecca NO, but atleast respect Jackie as her friend and be supportive to her NO matter what the situation may be. After Jackies nitemare of a relationship with Mimi, she deserves a little fun, flirtation with whomever she choses. I was proud of YOU during the reunion show when you DID FINALLY ADMIT, your were totally jealous of their frienship/relationship. IT appears to me that the reason you were Jealous is because you were the one whom was NOT getting as much air time since you were no longer the lite in Jackies eye. HMMMMM talk about calling the kettle black here, when reffering to whom wants more air time, me thinks Jessie was upset as his camera time was largely cut and Becks camera time went up. Please if you ever take anything away from Dougs passing, remember the MAN he was and how he lived his life, and what he stood for you could learn a few things from him.
I wish you all the best in your catering service, as well as in life in general. Hugs and kisses. ;)

I got hooked on this show and in turn my wife got hooked on it. She is living with ITP which has caused other various health problems. The main reason I even mention her is this.. after the last show the reunion show she had said to me if we could afford it and if we could go to where skylab is I wouldnt want anybody but Jesse to train with me and help me. To me Jesse, that is saying more about you as a person and a professional then any edits in a show could! We love you!

Hi Jesse-
I'm totally on your side on the Rebecca thing-it was so contrived, not to mention unprofessional. Of all of the trainers, she's the only one who I honestly think that I would not like in person.
Secondly, anyone who's on your back about weight, screw 'em! I finally had to learn that after a childhood filled with unrealistic expections and a resulting eating disorder. You look fabulous, fit, and healthy, that's all that matters!
I hope Jasmine is still doing well. I'm looking forward to studying your routines for ideas in season three! I tell my trainer all the time to watch so he can see your creativity.

I totally understand the Rebecca thing. It's hard to watch someone you care about (Jackie) make a mistake that you know will hurt her. I only think your approach was a bit invasive. All you can ever do in a situation like that is express your concern to Jackie and show support. Otherwise you can get in trouble. If Jackie dosen't want to hear it, she won't, and it will hurt your friendship with her. Anyway, enough with Dr. Phil here, have a great year!

The whole Skylab idea really excited me and it is something that I think I would like to do in some why shape or form. After watching a few episodes, I got online and looked through the trainers profiles. When I came across yours, I was really kind of excited. When, on the reunion special, it came out that Rebecca had been on the Amazing Race, it changed my mind about her hitting on Jackie being a ploy. I always figured Jackie is hot, and that Rebecca was living out the straight girl fantasy right there in my living room week after week. But obviously she likes being on reality TV. Probably a combination of both. I hope there is a season 3 and I hope you get a lot of airtime because you are awesome! And not fat. Maybe we'll see you on Top Chef!

As Jackie's "good friend" if you think she is making a bad decsion, regardless what it is, all you can do is be supportive, be there for her when/if she falls. I never see/hear Jackie asking you for your opionion or help regarding her love life. Where was your over zealous protective friendship when she was geting in that emotional abusive in season 1 and 2? We never heard a peep out of you. Now all of a sudden your worried about JACKIE with REBECCA???? You have to be asking yourself at some point, why are you so obsessed with them having a good time with eachother. Use all that energy to workout more and make your own good time.

Jessie keep it real and be true to your self. I want to see more of the Jessie that I saw in the Coffee shop with the Model/Military person (you know who I am talking about that was real [not playing a 16 year old and calling somebody a slut]) Some other things that I see you do on the show are totally fake and it just makes me think Peeler is a better man then you. Can you change that because you are now the MALE GAY representative for the show. Are up for it. I think Doug would say "YES". Good luck next season I look foward to watching.

Furthermore, we fight hard to prove that being gay is NOT a choice. So doesn't Rebecca's reasoning behind her involvement with Jackie sound ignorant and negate the whole "we are born this way" campaign that we are trying to get in the minds of many?? ULTERIOR MOTIVES. I'm just disappointed that Jackie will learn the hard way. You're a good friend Jesse. My friends and I look forward to tasting your cooking one day. If Rebecca is using Jackie, then Jackie is equally using Rebecca. It appears that Jackie has a history of going after straight women. In season #1 Jackie told one of her clients (the lady who flew her out to her home for private sessions) that since she was straight she needed to be afraid around her (Jackie). She even bragged in her blog that she had been the first for many straight women. Jackie is a user. She was hurting from the breakup with Mimi and needed a rebound girl or should I say girls. She was with Tiffany during one of her breakups with Mimi and as soon as Mimi resurfaced she dumped Tiffany. You said in one of your blogs that you have known Tiffany for a while and she was a cool person. I think you should be worried for her and tell her to run as fast as she can away from Jackie. Jackie is also selfish; she contacted Tiffany and resumed their relationship, yet she actively went after Rebecca. From what I saw, she was the one who invited Rebecca to a gay bar and was even flirting with her there, knowing that she had started to date Tiffany again. I agree with you in some ways. Rebecca realized that Jackie liked her and decided to capitalize on it. But nonetheless, Jackie was the aggressor.

Jesse, I always know that there is much more to any story than any show can ever portray. Even through the tube I sensed that you had information you were asked not to share. I really like watching the show because you're a lot like me in the sense that you know just when to move on (and yoga is great for that, isn't it?!).
And what is this? Are you a vegetarian? That'd be uber cool if you are...another reason for you to be my favorite trainer on the show!
Thanks for the charm, humor, and quirkiness that are all totally sexy. I totally want you to be my friend, but this blog spot will have to do!

Hi Jesse! I was totally addicted to the show and am going through withdrawal without it. I must say that you are very good looking and I LOVE your sense of humor. I loved the episode where you vented about the fact that gay people often tend to "categorize" others and that its time that we treat everyone as an equal and how important it is not to judge. I'm a 34 yo, in-shape (hot, not being conceited) Atlanta boy(I have the pics to prove it, LOL) who would love to meet you! Thanks for making me laugh and for being a positive role model for gay men. Bye for now hot boy! Sean

Jesse- I think you're reaction to Rebecca and Jackie dating was one of obvious jealousy, since you probably felt, again obviously, that now she was going to have "special favor" or "more weight" when it comes to various facets of the business, work place etc...which, having watched Jackie since the show began, I don't think would be the case. She seems extremely professional, which in turn makes her extremely fair and I don't think she would show favoritism where it wasn't warranted etc. Also, I think Rebecca (and I like her very much), but I think Rebecca is a total, TOTAL opportunist and her being gay is convenient at this time and juncture, she thinks it will serve her well getting "close" to Jackie and she's about as Gay as Jerry Falwell was. (So nice to use "was" when referring to him, but I digress)... You have to admire someone who will go to any extreme, length, to try and get what they want. I couldn't possibly, in no way, shape or form, carry on a heterosexual affair with a "boss/employer" no matter what was, or could be in it for me if I did. At least I don't think I could. It's not a simple cap to don in order to get something that you want. Think about it. So you have to give her kudos to be able to go to that length. You also have to examine what kind of person (what kind of complexity resides there) for her to be able to use sexuality (particularly one that is not in her nature I don't believe) to get what she thinks she wants. Anyway, it should in no way shape or form affect you, your relationship with Jackie, or your professional pursuits and your ability to move forward, gain, and get ahead. You need to work for that. Forget about Rebecca, or otherwise it can consume you and bring you down and once again she has the upper hand. Don't give her the power. Rise above it...dude! Good luck....!!!
