OUTzone: How's it going, "Bad Mommy?"
Bad Mommy is doing awesome. Let me just say I love having my gay posse around. From those boys over at Rungay to you bunch here at OUTzone, it’s good to have y'all watching my back.
OUTzone: Awesome. So let’s jump in to these questions. Some of them came from the boards this week. Some have come in through the viewer email. And the first one is from Katie.
I know this one! And I really hope that she’ll write back in soon with an update.
OUTzone: She writes, "My boyfriend of five years is about three days away from telling me that he’s gay. I know he has a crush on this guy in our building, and they spend a lot of time smoking pot together. I guess I’m okay with the gay part, but do I break up with him before or after he tells me? Because there’s a very slim chance that I’m wrong."
This is a gut feeling thing. As I’ve grown older, I’ve learned that you can’t ignore your gut. I think postponing the inevitable is never a healthy thing. What I would do is try to turn the relationship back into a friendship. And though it’s generally hard to take steps backward this way, I don't see any other choice at the moment. You have to go with your gut. And write back in and tell us how it goes.

After many years of gay news, blogs, photos, and more, OutZoneTV.com is closing...

Laura you are truly a bright spot of glamor in a sea of mediocre fashion.
I would love to be fabulously glamorous like you, but alas, at 48, 5'2, and a hopelessly curvaceous, hourglass body and a 36DDD cup, I am at a loss as to how to accomplish this. I cannot bare my sternum since it's covered with tits, and with a 28" inseam there really isn't enough leg length to work, what does a matron do?

Bon Jour La Laura!
Your collection was so incredible on so many levels I find myself waiting with baited breath for you to announce your own personal line of clothes debuting at a store near me or you're opening your very own store on 7th Avenue so I'll know where to vacation. When can we expect the LB Collection? Help me to exhale!

Laura,
I loved your designs on the Runway show, so clean. I am sure they will sell very well. Do you recommend wearing tape to keep the low cut gowns from opening? I never seen the tape at stores and I never knew it was available until I heard a reference to it on another show. What is it called? Where do you buy it?

Hi Laura!
As a student on the go, I often find that my purse gets bogged down with tons of stuff that all, somehow, seems indispensable. As a mom, architect, AND designer, what are your purse essentials to keep the chaos to a minimum? Or, do you just say "to hell with it!" and let the mess be?

Here's something that's been making me slightly nuttier than usual (For Nuts Only) but about 3 years ago I noticed some fashions by a designer named L.K. BennetT. Spelled the name with a capital T on the end. The two that stand out in my fuzzy brain are a coat and a pair of sizzling pink heeled suede boots with big purple buttons up the side. Wondering if these were your early entries into the biz?

Laura, your collection was so spectacular and my most absolute favorite! You're now at the top of my favorite new designers list. I dream of having one of your creations.
One of you other admirers, Emma, is looking for double stick tape. It is available as Hollywood Fashion Tape and sold on QVC.com if she needs some.
I think it's safe to say all your fans wish you huge success.

Laura,
I would like to tell you I upmost enjoyed watching you designing those magnificent dresses to evening gowns that every woman should look in today's society. You have been a great inspiration to me since I had watched you on Project Runway Series on Bravo. When I had watched the finale of the series, I was in SHOCKED that you wasn't the selected winner. Well, 'til this day, you have my full support and I just wish there were more elegant designer like yourself as
you are.

Laura,
It's interesting to note that your design sensibilities are filtering down. Your dress cut and embellishments are showing up everywhere (pared down). As you well know. I applaud your style. Quite fetching. I was unnerved when you weren't chosen as the designer to bring back - but as my father states (94 years old on 1/21), the American public has no taste! This current season is dog awful. So pedestrian. However, it's interesting to note that M.K.'s take has been so much more positive this year. That speaks to his sensibilities. Ahhh, the public.
