Darlings! Chin-Chin and welcome to my new show. It has been an amazing journey since I came to New York, and my time after Runway 3. Time that I am so excited to share with all of you.

Before I moved to NYC, my boyish modeling photos started to circulate in New York and people started showing interest, so I packed up my things and went to NYC.I remember my first day in New York. Being in line at the Calvin Klein Building, standing next to Alec Wek and her beautiful orange angora sweater (sorry -- photographic memory), waiting for that casting ... I was so excited -- my first NYC casting and it was for Versus. I had wanted so badly to come to NYC to model. I thought it was vital that I be as thin as possible. For some reason I thought it made me look better in pictures. So for some time I ate cabbage and tuna fish and danced and excercized for four hours a day. I lost 25kg (55 pounds).

Make Up For Ever

What a brilliant day today! My walk-through at Bryant Park, meeting with David Evangelista who is creating the hair for my show. Then I had a conference call with the brilliant makup artist Margina Dennis, whose team will be creating their looks for my Bryant Park show with Make Up For Ever. I found myself rushing home to get some rest and I popped on Bravo. Darlings! Make Up For Ever was creating the looks for last night's Make Me A Supermodel.

I was first introduced to Make Up Forever when I first came to NYC as a model. I stocked my cabinets with the medium beige pan-stick foundation. It took five years off of my face. In an industry full of some amazing products, this is the best I have ever used. They have the most amazing colours and the line in Paris has colours you would never dream of -- including the white I used one Halloween to create the look of a geisha. It has been almost ten years and I am excited to see the looks they have created for the show tonight. I am also so excited for all of you to see the palette Margina has created for my show using this brilliant cosmetic line.

If you go to Makeupforever.com you will thank me for it. Darlings, I never leave the house without my clear Super Lip Gloss. I love to see it when good products are discovered by the world. So next time you see me on the red carpet looking younger then I am, remember my secret.

Love,
Malan

Darlings last night's "Project Runway" was brought to you by Levi's. I wish they had the Levi's Euro line in America -- it's so nice.

Do you remember the really great commercials that Simon Rex and the gospel choir were in for them in the '90s? I feel like dungarees are such a staple and a multi-billion dollar business around the world. It is nice to see what they did with the creations.

Click here to watch the exclusive sneak peek of "The Malan Show!"

Dear Malan, I have been invited to an opening of a friend's opera and i know I should wear a suit. I am, infortunately, a grad student and my suit is old and badly out of style. I have no money to buy a new one. What do I do?

The first thing I thought of when I saw this question was... I remember when I was younger having a moment like this. Here are some things you can do;

One -- do you have any other coordinates that might work with the Blazer? Like a trouser that is a bit more modern. I remember taking a blazer that was a little dated and adding a button hole sewing the seam allowance up the back and sides to make it more fitted. All night, I got nothing but compliments on a suit that was (earlier in the day) a total disaster. But not all of us can sew, so I recommend separates.

If you have an alternate trouser, you can pair it with the blazer. Perhaps a nice button down, a vest. Never wear a turtleneck with a blazer unless it is fresh and in shape and the dye is not faded. I would not recommend a tshirt under the blazer for the opera either. Due to our lifestyles, suiting has become so much about pieces. Remember whatever you do -- look crisp and fresh. It takes but a moment to press a garment, pull out your iron, darling and a little water to mist the fabric.

I hope this has been of help to you, style the look to your taste, there is no reason you should be uncomfortable at such an event. Just remember its the opera and not lunchtime at your favourite take away restaurant. Your friend will be so honoured that you took the time. Also do not forget to bathe, powder, shave and fluff, you never know when you might meet your next love, you always want to look and smell your best.

Cheers,
Malan Breton

It was a long night -- I was moved by one of the most brilliant movies I have seen in ages,
The Business of Being Born, produced by my new friend Ricki Lake, who is gorgeous. It was so touching and so beautiful. This is a movie everyone should see, especially new mothers-to-be. I had my driver stop by my office so I can check on the new collection we are preparing for my first Bryant Park showing this February and then came home for the second rerun of Runway. OMG a Prom dress challenge.

Darlings, I love that this is an opportunity for youth to feel glamourous. It is so fun to see them in Times Square in the summer. I loved the multi-tonal dress that Jillian designed -- it was gorgeous, and Sweet P's dress was so glamourous.

I was saddened that Kevin left.I surely thought he would make it to Fashion Week. I cannot believe that two of the best designers on the show were in the bottom two. Interesting!

Episode Four: Where is the Glamour?

Darlings! I have been so busy with holiday events, and we just launched a new handbag line, and an online store.I will sum this weeks episode up by using the three B's! Bitchy, Bawdy and Bold.

The episode started with, Ricky! Being so catty! Again! About the model selection. Darling I am wondering about "true colours" right now because the display level of taste in both areas last night was just not attractive. I found myself sympathising for Victorya but I did not enjoy that there was so much conflict. When you work in teams much like working in the structure of a fashion company you have to let your ego. and work together. The head designer will give you points of reference but there should be a relationship and not an ego driving that. That said, I will move on to happier things! No need to let the groll and miserable in today.
