And The Winner Is....

Well it’s been a long and arduous journey (not for them – for us), but here we finally are at the finale of Make Me A Supermodel. For the last episode we get to follow them around on Go-Sees around town. Models are never very directionally inclined.

“Ben has that Esprit look.” Which... Well this is what we think of when we think of Esprit...

esprit320x240.jpg

Ronnie gets dissed for having “the same pose, the same head turn and the same look everytime.” Ruh roh, girl… But then the same guy who says this has the weird line about Ronnie's "needing to be slapped around." That guy's a little gross.

Okay now what’s up with these underwear guys and their bowl of bananas? They say that Ben is, “okay looking and comes across as being very sexual.” We agree and then not. He’s got a totally hot bod, but gets all prissy about being handed a banana and being asked to act like a monkey.

I can't believe it, but I actually have faith in "America" now that Holly's won. She was the best one there, but I thought that only gays watch this show, and that regardless of who should win, the gays would vote for Ronnie. I totally loved Ronnie and was happy he was runner-up, btw. So what gives? Who was "America"? Were the voters at least 90% gay? Did any str8 guys watch the show? Did any girls watch the show (I don't think so, since all the girls but Holly got kicked to the curb early on)? Did the gays actually vote for Holly despite their mad desire to make Ronnie their bf?

Ronnie, Please learn to speak. You are so gorgeous but I want to stuff something in your mouth, STOP saying, "you know" everytime you start a sentence or pause in your thoughts. It makes you much less appealing.

I haven't even watched tha final episode yet, primarily for two reasons; 1, that whole significant other reunion thing always comes off so staged and uncomfortable that it weirds me out, and 2, I was really afraid another decision like Shannon's elimination was imminent. I thought the girls really got the short end of the stick in many ways (ha ha) on this show. My interest really started to wane in the last two episodes after what seemed like a whole season of juvenile hostility. I am hoping next season won't be quite as contrived and that maybe the contestants will learn a little humility. I don't know, even though they are all so pretty and clean, the show always left me feeling dirty. Oh-but reading your commentary always lifted me up again. Thank you for your humor!

Thats called versatile haha Andy Cohen educating breeders. That interview also cleared up Ben's weird comment about Ronnie plus drunk minus sex equals bad time, apparently Ronnie is a sexual predator.

SO GLAD that holly won. i was pulling for her and hoping the 3 final boys would split the "boy" vote, sealing holly's victory. she totally deserved it. BEN is totally hot but doesnt seem to 'love' fashion as much as the other three. never liked PERRY and even though RONNIE should be my boyfriend, HOLLY's pics and catwalk blew him out of the water. GO HOLLY!

REALLY Bravo I mean REALLY, Holly!! Don't get me wrong I think that Holly deserved to win she is a great model, but there is nothing you can say to make me think that America voted for her. I watch every epidsode of this show and the only thing that kept me watching was the Ben and Ronnie story. America loves them but they didn't vote for them YEAH RIGHT, I really believe that one. Come on Bravo you could did a little better with deceiving America like the other reality shows.

As the owner of New York Model Management said a few episodes back...Holly didn't need to win to achieve a sucessfull career. Besides, she's the same now as she was in the beginning and so is Perry. Ronnie or Ben should have won because they really improved and showed clearly that they had what it took to make it in the modeling industry. I'm very dissapointed and frankly wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find out that the final vote was manipulated in Holly's favor.

What I want to know is did anyone else sense that Ben was sorta wayward bound...he did not seem to be happy to be with his wife when she visited. He seemed like she was ruining his good time. I dont think he wants to go back to his old life at all!! I think fame has got him hooked and he wants to be a carefree bachelor. Though I wish him and his wife all the best and much success!!

To Casey: I know that this is probably suppose to be about the "winner" last night, but who was that? Oh, yeh Holly and not one of the three losers she competed with in the finals. So,what? The real and only winner is Casey. He's heard it from all of his fans and should know, as a Supermodel he is a creature miles above all the rest. He doesn't have to make a big deal out of all of his popularity, nor put up false fronts to as, in Perry's case was, make the judges and the viewers feel sorry for him, and get him into the finals. He just has to be Casey and the world comes to him. He's a great guy, with a cool attitude and disposition. I'm sure there are times when he has a bad day, but he shakes it off and goes back to his ever so enjoyable self. He's a trend setter and a person who can/could do anything he desires. He's Casey Skinner the man that might save the world from it's own demise. So, expect it, 'cause I do. I love him and love what he stands for-all that is kind and good and at peace with himself and the world around him. Good luck,Casey.from Jim one of your biggest fans

I was pretty pissed that Holly won. After one of the judges commented that she would have plenty of work even if she didn't win, I thought that would have been a pretty clear signal to the voters to pick someone other than her to win, since she clearly didn't need to- I was hoping for Ronnie. But "America" didn't get the hint, sadly.

WOW............

Like Holly won? Like gee.....like awesome!

Will someone please send her to a voice and presentation trainer.

She comes off as ignorant and so "like" a 80's valley girl....speak proper ENGLISH!....DUH!

P.S. Her fiancee is GAY....GET REAL!

Supermodel? Hmmmmmm...........

Holly is a bottom feeder on the supermodel food chain....she will NEVER compare to the marketablity, natural beauty of REAL Supermodels.

America was duped......another "reality" show......scripted for ratings.

Oh well......I watched!
Ronnie and Ben were robbed!....argh!

What a waste of time.

NEXT!

The suprise visits were really a twist, at least the way it came off on Television.
Ben seems like he would rather have the change away from prison life and his wife. He wasn't very enthusiastic to see her or the prospect of her moving to NY. After 3 months.. it came off as oh-hi! Makes me wonder just what did take place in three months.

Perry, seems to have lost all sence of self worth. All his girlfriend could say is lets put this behind us. I wonder if she is still with him since he lost?

Jimbo wrote:

To Casey Skinner: Yes, I know that he didn't win the damn competition, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't show these. I read in his statement just prior to the decision that he was happy for whoever won. How humble and pure of thought. It's too bad that the other finalist couldn't feel this way. He's a remarkable, fun-loving, charismatic young man who if anything at all should make sense in this world then it should be his becoming in/famous in whatever he pursues. I only hope that he reads my and all the other folks messages of support, 'cause if we can help him reach his goals, all the better. You are a force, but a gentle force, that will be recond with in the near future, Casey and we love you for that. Good luck Jim

I can't believe Holly won. I mean she's cute and everything, but a supermodel. I can understand why Tyler didn't win, I mean, just look at those shoulder, that attitude. But, what happened to my boys Ronnie and Ben. It seems to me Ronnie and Ben split the majority of votes, which pused Holly to the front. I bet if you added Ben's and Ronnie's votes, those votes would have eclipsed those that Holly had received. I wonder if we'll get to see the tearful goodbye of Ronnie and Ben. I hope they remain close friends. I wish I could have voted for both of them. I guess my new Bronnie t-shirt will say it all for me.

james aherin wrote:

Does it really make any difference, 'cause the only thing that gets posted are things praising the Supermodel finale, when two words sum it up:IT SUCKED. The finalist were dull, in a way that could put insomniacs to sleep. Their personalities were lacking any charismatic qualities and made you feel bad about wasting your time on there delirium. If only you'd have had the judges decide and not the idiot public, then the end results would have had Casey Skinner as the winner, with Frankie as the runner-up. They made the show interesting. After they left, all there was were idiot posers and hicksville want-a-be debutants. This show was a disaster after Casey left. I only hope that any of the judges who are smart enough to see talent will/already have signed Mr. Skinner to their agency, before it's to late. He's a beautiful shining star and a young man that will make something big out of his life. Finally, if you are going to be stupid enough to have a 2nd one of these shows, then change the judges and change the voting process, because the way it was done as a popularity contest, this time, really STUNK!

jaherin wrote:

I know that anyone who reads these after the show has been over for almost a week, probably gets tired of me talking about how great Casey is, but he is. Nothing as I am finding out, moves along as fast as we want it, but I can hardly wait to see him in photos on the runway, or maybe on the runway on his skateboard, playing his guitar and singing like he does, so well. That would be the sign of his ultimate success. But, anything he does would be exciting to know that he has done it. I wish him the best and know that we'll soon see him doing what he does best. Being gorgeous, sincere and funloving- in other words, being Casey Skinner.

I like all of the final four models. Frankly though, I really thought Ronnie was the best.

To the judges and all the other contestants on Supermodel, you all did the best that you could on the show, but the one that was an outstanding/ soon to be a musical star(maybe model on the side) is Casey Skinner. His new song is sensational. His charisma like a magnet to all that he is around. So, thanks for voting Casey off when you did, 'cause it allowed him to pursue his bigger dream of becoming a mega-superstar singer he's meant to be. Rock on, Casey, you'll be a man that everyone, not just me, will have to reckond with your greatness in the very near future. Jim

It is great to know there are so many Casy supporters. He has so much going for him in music. His main problem was the catwalk and there is more to being a model than that. All he needs is to be more sure of himself. He has a handsome face and a body a lot of us would like to have.(the snake shoot).

As for the rest. What could you expect? Ben and his wife had been a couple since middle school. This was probably the first separation. After 13 weeks of living a life without could cause some second thoughts. She appeared to be a controller. Perry is an insecure little boy, who needs just a little more away from Amanda. She is going to do the same thing again. Ronnie seems to be an up and downer. When he thought he might get Ben to go along with him he was up but when Ben didn't share his interest it was a different ballgame. HOLLY, who cares. She was the most irratating snd smug!!!!!

dean wrote:

Now that it is over It is great that others saw the same as I. Casy got a head start on the guys in the top 4. Evidently He has a new record out and the others had to wait for the show to be over. He is a guy with humility. His main problem was lck of confidense in himself. He can still be a model with his looks and a body most of us guys would like to have.

As to the others. Perry is a wimp to think that girl means wht she says.

Ronnie prbably is a sexual predater. When he got nowhere with Ben he went downhill. Didn't show any improvement. No gym and the sme old walk. Mr nice guy when he is up. He stayed because he might win and get the money, otherwise he would just as soon be in Chi where he s a big frog.

Ben. For one I hope he pursues a modeling career. He still has a lot of work to do but he shows he has the drive to do it. After bing away from his wife 3 months, he has found there is something to do besides being a dep. sheriff. But wifey wants to get back to normal. She probably is a controller and has done that from the start of their relationship. Maybe he will figure it all out and do something about it. As far as the show goes he was sort of laid back. Would like say more but will let it go.

Holly. Her smirk each time she was named a winner in the challenges was certainly a turn off.

jim aherin wrote:

As Dean commented in his comment on the 13th,Casey had a jump on the others, but then he always had a jump on them, just by being Casey. I can clearly see him surpasing the others by leaps and bounds. He's charming, talented, funny, and most of all the most beautiful man(contestant) on the show. His voice isn't bad either. What a combination, and as Salt and Peppa would say,"What A Man, What A Man, What A Mighty Good Man." He's the best.
